Meet Turnip!

Turnip came to the shelter with her sister, Tokyo, after they were found outside during an island hurricane, trying to shelter from the heavy rain among the trees and bushes. Although she was naturally scared at first, Turnip has made steady progress at the shelter and continues to gain confidence. Now it's finally time for her to find her forever family.

Turnip is a calm, laid-back girl who prefers to take life at a slower pace. She takes her time to trust at first, but once she feels safe, she shows her sweet and affectionate side. She is naturally observant and curious, often happy to quietly watch what’s going on around her rather than rushing into the middle of things.

Turnip would do best in a peaceful home where she can relax and settle in at her own speed. She has a low energy level, enjoys calm environments, and has shown to be very trainable. She also does well with other dogs. If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who enjoys quiet company, Turnip is the perfect fit.
