Tokyo’s story begins when she came to the shelter after she and her sister were found outside during an island hurricane, trying to shelter from the heavy rain among the trees and bushes. Frightened and unsure at first, Tokyo has come a long way since arriving at the shelter and continues to grow more confident each day. It’s time for her to find the security of a warm and loving forever home.

She can be slow to trust at first, but once she feels safe she forms a strong forever bond with her people. Tokyo is an independent girl who enjoys affection on her own terms. She is curious and very observant, often taking time to watch and understand her surroundings before choosing to engage.

Tokyo is a gentle soul who would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in and feel secure. She also does well with other dogs. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, loyal companion who appreciates both closeness and quiet time, Tokyo would be the perfect match.
