Lee is a sweet little guy who’s looking for a very special home. Life didn’t start out the way it should have for him, and because of that, he can be a bit wary of being handled. He doesn’t like being picked up and may react if he feels uncomfortable or cornered, so it’s important that his future family respects his boundaries and lets him come to them on his own terms.

He definitely knows what he likes and doesn’t like and isn’t afraid to let you know what he thinks! But underneath that tough exterior is a dog who loves to cuddle, enjoys being close to his people, and has so much love to give once he feels safe.

Lee is looking for calm, patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. He’ll thrive in a quiet home where he’ll never be forced into uncomfortable situations and with kindness, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he’ll continue to build confidence and show more of the affectionate boy he truly is.
