In mid June, the team were on the way to the airport to send 12 pups to their forever homes. It’s often the case that when we have pups leave, they are quickly replaced by other pups in need. This was the case for the bank litter, who were saved on the way back from the airport. They were being looked after by a local lady after their mother was poisoned, and consequently died. August and his siblings were left to fend for themselves, alone and hungry. They were originally 7, however 1 died before we arrived to rescue them. They were covered in fleas and in a bad condition when we got them… August always stayed positive. He always stayed a happy and content puppy, even to this day. He has a strong will and a strong heart. You couldn't find a friendlier puppy if you tried! He loves to be held like a baby and have cuddles, literally basking in your love. He likes to lick his lips to demonstrate his appreciation and contentment. He won't push himself to the front of his siblings, he will wait until you have the time to give him the attention he craves. You could even call him polite! It makes us want to give him extra love as he asks so politely. August loves to play with his siblings, and is very sociable with both dogs and people. He has black eyeliner which just makes him extra adorable, it looks like he's always dressed up and ready for some charming- which given the chance he will definitely do! It's impossible to look into his big eyes and not fall in love. As he and his siblings look very similar, he's had a green collar on since he arrived with us. We now think that green is his colour, the colour of nature and happiness, just like his name suggests and personality evokes. He's a star of a puppy and will definitely make someone very happy one day.
