  • Did you know that Gidget basically means ‘small girl’? Being one of the smallest, and the only black pup of her litter- she definitely stands out- and for all the right reasons! She's a happy go lucky pup who brings a smile to everyone's faces. Her start in life wasn't as easy though… In mid June, the team were on the way to the airport to send 12 pups to their forever homes. It’s often the case that when we have pups leave, they are quickly replaced by other pups in need. This was the case for the bank litter, who were saved on the way back from the airport. They were being looked after by a local lady after their mother was poisoned, and consequently died. Gidget and her siblings were left to fend for themselves, alone and hungry. They were originally 7, however 1 died before we arrived to rescue them. They were covered in fleas and in a bad condition when we got them… However Gidget always stood out from her siblings. And this isn't just because she was the only black pup- it was her incessant need to play. Her will and faith was never lost, like the rest of her siblings, they always remained faithful. Dogs are so strong, inside and out, even at only a month old- she was stronger than you would have thought her little body capable of. You will always find Gidget at the back of her pen, play-fighting or wrestling one of her siblings. It simply never gets boring for her. She loves to run around and play, literally embracing life and her siblings who are her friends. She always seems to have an abundance of confidence and a ball of energy, but she loves to snuggle up with her siblings in a puppy sandwich and catch some well deserved sleep. Her estimated adult size will be between 25-40lb.
