  • This big guy was found on the side of the road on a busy highway, thrown away like trash. He was so skinny and malnourished you could see every bone on his body, he was weak and had given up. I caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of my eye while I was driving and knew he needed immediate help. He had a large wound on his penis which we later discovered was TVT. TVTs are malignant (cancerous) tumors that are sexually transmitted through direct skin-to-skin dog-to-dog contact. Treatment for TVT includes Chemotherapy depending on the size and response to treatment, Floki will have almost completed treatment, with his last one being done in Canada at OVC (Ontario Veterinary College) on March 24th. We are looking for an experienced dog owner for Floki! As much of a lover he is, he is a lot of dog weighing in at 66lbs. Once he knows his people are the leader, he respects them but if you give him an inch, he will take a mile! He loves going for walks and loves to give kisses and play. This boy has come a long way and deserves a happy ever after! We are looking for a home for him with no other animals until he has completed his treatments or at least a home that can keep him separated until he completes his treatments! He recently had his tumours removed and will continue his TVT treatment plan soon. He does great with puppies and non reactive dogs.
