Where to start with our spunky and sassy lady, Ethel! Ethel and her name is a walking contradiction; she's extremely outgoing and not as lady-like as her name suggests! (Not to say she's not polite- as she will gently raise her paw to ask for further attention. But she's full of beans!) Despite her enchanting character now, Ethel and her siblings didn't always have the easiest of times. In mid June, the team were on the way to the airport to send 12 pups to their forever homes. It’s often the case that when we have pups leave, they are quickly replaced by other pups in need. This was the case for the bank litter, who were saved on the way back from the airport. They were being looked after by a local lady after their mother was poisoned, and consequently died. Ethel and her siblings were left to fend for themselves, alone and hungry. They were originally 7, however 1 died before we arrived to rescue them. They were covered in fleas and in a bad condition when we got them… Ethel never lost her will for life, however. She embraces life with open arms, including every human that will show her any attention, and any toy that makes its way into her grasp. Ethel is an inspiration; she transformed from a needy, helpless pup to a pup full of life with the happiest composition. She will without a doubt bring a smile to the face of anyone who spends time with her. She could play endlessly with her siblings for hours on end, whether that's a play-fight, or playing tug of war with one of their toys. The highlight of Ethel’s day? FOOD! Through all the playing and cuddles, it's food that really gets Ethel going. We think she will be rather easy to train due to her food motivation.
